In Guinea, comparing prices fixes everything except both teams to score

Comparing prices in Guinea turns a match-result bet from ordinary into close to fair. Do the same on both teams to score and almost nothing happens.
The result market falls from 4.53% at a typical house to 1.59% at the best available price. Both teams to score falls from 8.52% to 7.13%, which is barely a dent.
That is a market where one line is genuinely contested and another is not. For a bettor it changes what comparison is worth doing on, and what is simply the price of admission.
Shopping a result price here is worth three points. Shopping a both-teams-to-score price is worth barely one.
How the weekend is priced
The best available number on each result, who is holding it, and the market's own read on the match once margin is taken out.

- Manchester City v Bournemouth, Sun 23 Aug1.51 1xBet / 5.08 1xBet / 6.30 1xBet · 65 / 19 / 16%
- Brighton v Aston Villa, Sun 23 Aug2.32 1xBet / 3.75 1xBet / 3.15 1xBet · 42 / 26 / 31%
- Newcastle v Liverpool, Sun 23 Aug3.73 1xBet / 4.16 1xBet / 1.97 1xBet · 26 / 24 / 50%
- Fulham v Chelsea, Mon 24 Aug3.72 1xBet / 3.96 1xBet / 2.02 1xBet · 26 / 25 / 49%
The board is even across the card, from 1.42% on Everton against Crystal Palace to 1.78% on Manchester City against Bournemouth. No fixture is carrying the others.
The market's read is unremarkable and matches the global one, which is worth stating plainly: nothing here suggests Guinean prices are working from a different view of the football.
One contested market, one that is not
Margin is the amount the odds carry above a fair book. The gap between a typical price and the best available is where the argument sits.
- Match result4.53% at a typical book, 1.59% at the best available price
- Over and under 2.5 goals7.04% at a typical book, 2.89% at the best available price
- Both teams to score8.52% at a typical book, 7.13% at the best available price
The result line more than halves under comparison. The goals line improves sharply too. Both teams to score moves hardly at all, which means every house in this market is charging roughly the same high price for it.
When every house agrees on a number, comparison has nothing to work with. That is the position both teams to score is in here.
Why the goals price does not move
Averaged across the same matches: overall, match result, over and under 2.5 goals, both teams to score.
- 1xBet4.10% overall · 1.59% · 3.16% · 7.53%
- Guinée Games7.69% overall · 6.02% · 8.03% · 9.03%
- Geniusbet8.31% overall · 5.99% · 9.92% · 9.01%
Look down the final figure in each row and the reason is plain. Every house on this board charges between seven and a half and nine percent for both teams to score. There is no keen corner of that market to find.
On the match result the same houses are far apart, which is exactly why comparison pays there and nowhere else.
Where the board disagrees
The widest gaps of the weekend, and the bands they fall into.
- Hull City v Manchester United, home win7.60 at one book against 8.80 at another, 16% better
- Manchester City v Bournemouth, away win5.79 at one book against 6.30 at another, 9% better
- Fulham v Chelsea, the draw3.70 at one book against 3.96 at another, 7% better
- Fulham v Chelsea, home win3.48 at one book against 3.72 at another, 7% better
- Newcastle v Liverpool, home win3.49 at one book against 3.73 at another, 7% better
- Favourites, under 2.001.81% below the best price on average
- Middling prices, 2.00 to 4.002.95% below
- Long shots, over 4.004.38% below
Hull City at home is quoted at 7.60 in one place and 8.80 in another. On GNF 50,000 that is GNF 60,000 of difference on the same opinion.
The ladder below is moderate, with long prices shaded rather more than twice as hard as short ones. On this board that ordering matters less than which market you are betting.
Where the value is reachable
With one market contested and another not, the question is how much of the available value a bettor can actually collect.
- 1xBet83% of the best prices, 99.9% of the value
- Adding Guinée Games92% of the best prices, 99.9% of the value
- Adding Geniusbet100% of the best prices, 100.0% of the value
The leading name captures nearly all of it by itself. What the rest of the board offers is coverage rather than better prices, and on both teams to score it offers neither.
What the opening weekend leaves
Spend the effort where it pays. Comparing result prices in Guinea is worth roughly three points. Comparing both-teams-to-score prices is worth about one. Budget your attention accordingly.
Uniform pricing is the thing to watch. When every house charges the same for a market, that market is not competitive. Whether that changes over the coming rounds is the most consequential question on this board.
The result market is already in good shape. At the best available price a result bet here is close to fair. That is worth using, and it is the market to build a slip around.
This is the first instalment. Each round is measured the same way.

Method
Odds from the Guinean bookmakers listed above on the Premier League fixtures of 21 to 24 August 2026, as at 18 August. Margin is the sum of the implied probabilities of every outcome in a market, less 100%. The best available price takes the highest number quoted on each outcome anywhere in the Guinean market. Percentages beside a fixture are the market's own view of it once margin is stripped out. Odds move; the numbers here describe a snapshot, not a guarantee. 18+. Bet responsibly.
