In Benin the price in front of you is already close to the best there is

The widest disagreement on Benin's entire opening-weekend board is under ten percent, and most of it is far narrower than that. Whatever price you are looking at, you are close to the best one available.
On most boards the advice writes itself: check a second price before betting. Here the second price is usually within a couple of percent of the first, on favourites and outsiders alike.
That changes where a Beninese bettor's effort should go. Not into hunting numbers, which pays little, but into the selection itself and into which market the bet sits in, where the differences are real.
Very little separates the prices here. Rather a lot separates the markets.
A weekend priced with little argument

- Fulham v Chelsea, Mon 24 Aug3.72 1xBet / 3.96 1xBet / 2.02 1xBet · 26 / 25 / 49%
The whole card sits between 1.24% and 1.65%, which is about as flat as a weekend gets. Hull City against Manchester United is the tightest, with the visitors a 70% chance, and Ipswich against Sunderland the widest and the most open match on the card.
There is no fixture here being used to recover margin, and no kick-off time being penalised. A bettor can pick matches on the football.
Where the differences actually are
Margin is the share the odds carry above a fair book. Between the three markets the differences are considerable.
- Match result3.30% at a typical book, 1.52% at the best available price
- Over and under 2.5 goals4.08% at a typical book, 2.34% at the best available price
- Both teams to score6.25% at a typical book, 4.96% at the best available price
The result line is close to fair at the best available price, and the goals line is not far off. Both teams to score costs more than three times the result, and that ratio is the single largest number on this page.
So the decision that matters here is not where to bet. It is what to bet, and specifically how many legs of an accumulator are sitting in the expensive market.
How little separates the houses
Averaged across the same matches: overall, match result, over and under 2.5 goals, both teams to score.
The rows here tell different stories on different lines. One is far keener on the result; the other is meaningfully better on both teams to score. Neither is simply better than the other.
For a bettor that is a cleaner choice than most markets offer. Decide what you bet most, then use the house that prices it best.
How small the disagreements are
The widest gaps of the weekend, which are narrow, followed by the price bands.
- Hull City v Manchester United, home win8.05 at one book against 8.80 at another, 9% better
- Brighton v Aston Villa, away win2.98 at one book against 3.15 at another, 6% better
- Fulham v Chelsea, home win3.54 at one book against 3.72 at another, 5% better
- Manchester City v Bournemouth, away win6.01 at one book against 6.30 at another, 5% better
- Newcastle v Liverpool, home win3.56 at one book against 3.73 at another, 5% better
- Favourites, under 2.001.59% below the best price on average
- Middling prices, 2.00 to 4.001.70% below
- Long shots, over 4.002.08% below
Hull City at home is quoted at 8.05 against 8.80, the largest disagreement on the card. On XOF 5,000 that is XOF 3,750 of difference, and it is the exception rather than the rule here.
The bands below barely slope. A long shot is shaded only slightly harder than a favourite, which means the usual advice about checking outsiders twice carries much less weight in this market.
How little checking is required
With the prices this close together, the question is whether comparison is worth any effort at all.
- 1xBet63% of the best prices, 99.3% of the value
- Adding betPawa100% of the best prices, 100.0% of the value
One name gets a bettor most of the way and a second closes it. The value figures are the point: the difference between having one and having both is under a percent of the board's worth.
What the first weekend suggests
Spend your attention on the market, not the price. The gap between the cheapest and dearest market here dwarfs the gap between the available prices. That is where a Beninese bettor's edge is.
Outsiders get a fair hearing. The ladder from favourite to long shot is unusually flat. Backing an outsider here does not carry the extra penalty it usually does.
Watch for divergence. Prices this close together either stay that way or come apart. If they come apart, the advice on this page changes completely, and that is why the series runs every round.
This is the first instalment. The same numbers follow each round.

Odds from the Beninese bookmakers listed above on the Premier League fixtures of 21 to 24 August 2026, as at 18 August. Margin is the sum of the implied probabilities of every outcome in a market, less 100%. The best available price takes the highest number quoted on each outcome anywhere in the Beninese market. Percentages beside a fixture are the market's own view of it once margin is stripped out. Odds move; the numbers here describe a snapshot, not a guarantee. 18+. Bet responsibly.
